2025 Event Calendar
Marvellous Mini-Bees, Sunflowers & Songs
Saturday 22nd March, 10am – 12 noon
at the Providence Room, Green Moor, S35 7DX
This event, hosted by HEAT & Greenotes (Penistone Community Environmental Support Service) is for young people to make decorative bee hotels & grow sunflowers from artistically personalised flower pots in a youthful & musical atmosphere. Take them home to look pretty in the garden & be enjoyed by bees, butterflies & more.

Launch of Green Fest 2025!
Saturday 21 June 9am
Throughout the Parish
- Parish-wide Scarecrow Competition
- Theme: Green Fest – anything green, anything festival or summer celebrations!
- Walk/map/guide for those wishing to visit the scarecrows & vote will be made available in the phone box
- Those taking part will be invited to bring their scarecrow’s to Green Fest on Saturday 29th June for final votes

We’re planning a great day for all the family!

Bat Walk – September
Following the great feedback we had from our Marvellous Mini Beasts & the real Bat Man Session we held in the Autumn we will be venturing out & about in the late summer in the hope of seeing some real live bats and enjoying a walk all at the same time.
